OCR: Sheepshead Help Press Ctrl-S to pause, Ctrl-Q to resume. At the fir st prompt you get to decide which "seat" you want. The seats arearranged in clo ckwise order as follows: 1 15 2 4 3Enter the seat number for the caller followed by the seat num ber for thesysop. For example, entering "12" would put the caller at seat 1 and thesysop at seat 2. The remaining 3 seats are computer controlled. The next pro mpt asks who should deal first. Enter a value 1-5. An asteriskalways appears n front of the current dealer . The hands are then dealt. The players then have he option of picking upthe blind or passing. If all 5 players pass the dealer r edeals the hand. Ifno one picks up the blind in 3 tries the deal is passed on t o the next player . If no one picks up the blind then a doubler is played. The nu mber of doublersyet to be played is displayed at the upper right of the screen. A value otherthan zero means that the current hand is a doubler . If you decide t o pick up the blind you must then select 2 cards to be buried. Use the ARROW left and right keys to move the highlight bar and press SPACEto select. After you h ave selected 2 cards press RETURN to confirm. If youhave selected 1 or 2 cards but then change your mind press DELETE or BACKSPACEto start over . After you have buried you may select a partner. Near the center right of thescreen you will se e an Ace of Clubs. Press SPACE to toggle through thepossible cards you may call for your partner. When the card you want appearspress RETURN. If the called c ard is not valid RETURN has no function. Ifthe card you called requires a "down under" card you will see that prompt . Press RETURN at that prompt to see the hig hlight bar. Use the ARROW left andright keys to move the bar and press RETURN t o select a card. After doingthis the card is blanked to remind you that it is t he down under card. If you do not want to pick a partner press DELETE or BACKSPAC E instead ofRETURN when selected an Ace or Ten. If you do this you play against all 4opponents.When playing out tricks use the ARROW left and right keys to mow e to the cardyou want to play and press RETURN. If the card is a legal play it is addedto the current trick in the center of the screen. After 5 cards have be enplayed the highlight bar will flash under the card that wins the trick. After a brief moment the trick will vanish and the person who won the trick willthen 1 ead the next trick. Play continues until all 6 cards have been played. When all 6 cards have been played the score will then be shown. The firstnumber is the s core for the picker (and partner if one was called). Scoring is 1-2-3, double on the bump, doubled again if the current hand is adoubler. After the score is sho wn you enter chat. Exit chat to play the nexthand. Other commands:When it is you r turn you may press "s" to sort your hand. This can be usefulto you but may gi ve clues to your opponent as to what cards you may be holding .When it is your tu rn you may press "m" to mix your hand. This can be usefulin making sure your of ponent cannot tell what cards you have from where youpull the card out of your h and . You may enter chat mode by press "c"The scores for each player will accurate ly count up to a maximum of +127 ordown to a minimum of -128. The scores will b ecome inaccurate if either ofthese extremes is passed
