u EXPERTS PREDICT MASSIVE POWER
FLUCTUATIONS IN AMERICA'S
WINDY CITY
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- Inside sources at
the Jolliet Power and Pollution
Complex revealed yesterday a plot
uncovered by HomeTown Security that
will dim billions of bulbs along the
banks of Lake Michigan on September
16-18, 2005.
A secret, almost forgotten group
of Techno-Luddites will be meeting in
a Chicago suburb on those two days,
firing up their antiquated
contraptions and swapping software on
floppy disks -- the old kind that
really flop! These ancient computers,
according to experts, are comparable
to the one called ENIAC, which was
blamed for brown-outs in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, during the Second World
War.
The gathering is known by the code
name SWRAP 2005, and the "expo" seems
to be nefariously moved around
the Chicago Metro area from year to
year. This year it will be held in the
suburb of Lombard, IL, though all the
details have yet to be finallized.
Authorities say that there is really
nothing Chicagoland residents can do
about it, except to repeatedly save
any documents on which they are
working on their PCs and Macs.
