  6.     Some of you -- those who have seen
  7. their 50th birthday -- will probably
  8. remember our cover tune. You also will
  9. remember the Nash Rambler. This is a
  10. fitting song for our C= computer,
  11. racing up along side the Cyber
  12. Caddies, stuck in second gear!
  13.  
  14.     We are not stuck! The C64 DTV has
  15. tossed down the gaunlet. I'll bet we
  16. won't see a PCjr DTV! Read all about
  17. it in these files.

  19.     Also, I received a request from
  20. Robert Bernardo to buy an ad in
  21. LOADSTAR for the upcoming CommVEx,
  22. slated for this summer in Las Vegas. I
  23. told him LOADSTAR doesn't sell
  24. advertising. Never have. Never will.
  25. (OK - some advertising was used in the
  26. LOADSTAR Letter. But LOADSTAR has
  27. never depended on commercial income
  28. for its viability. Which is why
  29. LOADSTAR continues today, long after
  30. the paper mags gave up the ghost.)

  32.     But just the same, we could
  33. certainly come up with a way to plug
  34. the event.
  35.  
  36.     Then I realized that we have other
  37. Expos, ones renown throughout
  38. Commodorea, that needed attention too.
  39. So we whipped up a little something
  40. for the LUCKI Expo. Next month, we
  41. want to add Chicago and the World of
  42. Commodore shows -- and any other
  43. gathering or event you know about.

  45.     And here is a place for you Demo
  46. Dudez. Let's see some competition
  47. here. I know my efforts are most
  48. definitely lame by any demo standards.
  49. Show us what you've got! We will run
  50. any and all Expo Demos we receive! So
  51. get whacking!

  54. force, with stuff on sides 3 and 4.

  56. Sheet are ready to help you dive into
  57. this programming environment.

  59.     On a personal note, I am 55 now,
  60. reaching a legal speed limit. We have
  61. been editing and publishing eLOADSTAR
  62. and LOADSTAR for six years now. OK,
  63. it's not monthly. But the issues keep
  64. on coming! I can say with certainty
  65. that LOADSTAR will be here through
  66. issue 256 -- a full byte's worth.
  67. Maybe longer. Don't worry. We won't
  68. sell an issue we can't produce!
