  7.     QUIZMEISTER is LOADSTAR's
  8. universal quiz program that allows
  9. you to make quizzes on any subject
  10. for your friends or family to take.
  11. We consider an interactive quiz to be
  12. one of the best uses of a computer.
  13.  
  14.     Creating your own questions and
  15. answers is a breeze because you just
  16. use EDSTAR, our favorite line
  17. editor.
  18.  
  19. [DAVE'S NOTE]: Making a quiz is as
  20. easy as taking one! (Easier, really,
  21. 'cause you already know the answers!)
  22. On this issue, I added LAMER -- A
  23. quiz for Computer Adverturers which
  24. tests knowledge of the most BASIC of
  25. BASIC programming commands. We will
  26. soon use it to separate the Lamers
  27. from the Adventurers at our weekly
  28. club meeting. So see how you do!

  31.  TAKING A TEST

  34.     You can select from a list of
  35. quizzes when the program boots.
  36. QUIZMEISTER finds all the quizzes on
  37. the disk and places them in a menu.
  38. The limit is 700 quizzes, or as many
  39. as your drive will handle. All you
  40. have to do is CRSR DOWN or UP to the
  41. quiz you want and press RETURN.

  43.     Once the quiz is LOADED, you are
  44. asked if you want the correct
  45. answers revealed. If you choose YES
  46. you'll be shown correct answer if you
  47. miss a question. You'll also be
  48. shown detailed explanations of each
  49. question, depending on the question.
  50. Choose NO if you don't want the
  51. answers revealed. This may be
  52. preferable if you want to take the
  53. test over again.

  55.     Now you're ready to take your
  56. multiple choice quiz. In the yellow
  57. box at the top of your screen you see
  58. a question. At the bottom of the
  59. screen in a red box is a list of
  60. possible answers. Use CRSR/RETURN to
  61. select the one you think is right.

  63.     Press "Q" to quit at any time.

  65. NOTE: The author of the quiz may feel
  66. that there are some questions you
  67. should know. If you miss those
  68. questions, you will have points taken
  69. away in a most embarrassing way. He
  70. may also give you partial credit for
  71. picking an answer that's close to the
  72. right one.

  74.     Once you're done with the quiz,
  75. you go to a screen where you can see
  76. your scores for the last ten quizzes
  77. taken.  In order to give the program
  78. an "academic" air we call the scores
  79. screen a TRANSCRIPT.

  81.     The name of the quiz you took
  82. is in the QUIZ column. RATIO shows
  83. proportionally how well you did on
  84. each quiz. SCORE is self-explanatory.

  86.     Press any key to update your
  87. transcript. Afterwards, you can
  88. tackle another quiz or write your own
  89. with EDSTAR.
