The LOADSTAR Album
Annum XV
Program by Fender Tucker
Text and Compilation by
Dave Moorman
We continue the work Fender began
many years ago to bring the cover art
from every issue of LOADSTAR together
in one series of slideshows. This is a
great blast from the past and will
certainly spark memories. If you have
have the Compleat LOADSTAR CD-ROM (or
a compleat set of back issues), you
might want to dig out the old issue
and enjoy some retro-remembrances. If
you happen on a favorite program, let
me know -- and we will share it again
with all of LOADSTARia!
Walt Harned certainly hit his
stride during this fifteenth year,
providing eight of the covers. Also
high on our list of artists is God,
who produced graphic wonders hidden in
the Julia Set (177).
Knees Calhoon got in a lick with issue
178, while his saintly alter ego,
Fender Tucker, teamed up with James
Hilty to create 180's puzzling
painting. And Cheryl de Boissiere used
nothing but Commodore PETASCII
graphics to draw dramatic portraits of
some provocative antagonists.
We will keep the covers coming
until we have the entire history of
LOADSTAR in artwork.
