  3.   What are Power Play/Microcomputer

  8.   LOADSTAR provides many services to
  9.  
  10. its readers.  One such service is the
  11.  
  12. inclusion of the programs listed in
  13.  
  14. Commodore's Power Play and
  15.  
  16. Microcomputers magazines.  These
  17.  
  18. magazines are the official Commodore
  19.  
  20. paper magazines and are published
  21.  
  22. alternately each month.
  23.  
  24.  
  25.   Without LOADSTAR, the readers of
  26.  
  27. these magazines must enter the
  28.  
  29. program listings manually into their
  30.  
  31. computers using the Magazine Entry
  32.  
  33. utility.  Anyone who has done this
  34.  
  35. has learned how frustrating such a
  36.  
  37. task can be... typing errors, program
  38.  
  39. errors, etc.
  40.  
  41.  
  42.   LOADSTAR, however, provides these
  43.  
  44. same programs on disk for it's
  45.  
  46. readers... already typed in and
  47.  
  48. debugged!  In most cases we perform
  49.  
  50. some minor enhancements to the
  51.  
  52. programs to make them even better or
  53.  
  54. friendlier.

  57.   Do take note, though, that LOADSTAR
  58.  
  59. may or may not include certain
  60.  
  61. programs found in the paper magazine
  62.  
  63. that are inappropriate due to unusual
  64.  
  65. hardware or software requirements on
  66.  
  67. the user's end.  This rarely happens,
  68.  
  69. but is not impossible.

  75.   It is advisable that you obtain the

  77. parallel copy of POWER/PLAY or
  78.  
  79. MICROCOMPUTERS that is associated
  80.  
  81. with the programs contained on this

  83. disk.  The paper magazine contains
  84.  
  85. additional (and sometimes essential)
  86.  
  87. information about the programs.
