  1.      Have you read INSTALL, defined GLE_TOP, deleted inittex.ini
  2.      and touched the gle tree so that make will understand the dates.
  3.             setenv GLE_TOP "/usr/chris/gle/"
  4.             touch *
  5.             touch */*
  6.             touch */*/*
  7.      Copy  config.machine to config.i  (sun,aix,ultrix)
  8.         cp config.sun config.i
  9.      Do all of these before running MAKE the first time.
  10.      Delete inittex.ini every time you change init.tex
