  18.     The animation in this archive was rendered in Imagine, and processed
  19. in OpalPaint v2.1 using THE VIDEO PANEL MACHINE.
  20.  
  21.     The Video Panel Machine takes your images and animations [series of
  22. images] and adds "panels" to them.  The panels give a zoomed in or zoomed
  23. out representation on the image information behind it.  This effect is
  24. frequently used lately in commercials and music videos.  As you can see by
  25. the animation, it's a very nifty effect when the subject is moving.
  26.

  29. * Rectangular panels that 'zoom' the image information behind it
  30.  
  31. * Spheres that 'refract' the image information behind it
  32.  
  33. * Custom shapes [defined by 2-colour or OpalPaint brushes] such as logos
  34.  
  35. * Chroma distortion at definable intensities
  36.  
  37. * Brightness and/or Darkness distortion at definable intensities
  38.  
  39. * Greyscale effect on panels and/or on the background
  40.   (Colour panels on a black and white background is a very classy effect)
  41.  
  42. * Mosaic distortion on panels and/or the background
  43.  
  44. * Animation "staggering" effect for the panels or the background
  45.   (as shown in the greyscale panel in the animation) at definable frame
  46.   step rates.

  48. * Draw your panels directly on a frame to place them

  50. * Saves project files in ASCII text format.  Different animations (at the
  51.   same resolution) can share the same project file.  Project files can be
  52.   edited.

  58.     Notice: Just so you don't get the wrong idea, this animation was not
  59. made all at once.  This animation was created in 5 passes through the
  60. Video Panel Machine.  Currently, you can't say, have a mosaic rectangle
  61. and refracting sphere all in one project.  So I did it once, then did it
  62. again using the first project's output as an alternate background.  Worked
  63. out rather slick, I thougt. :)

  67.                -- HOW TO GET THE VIDEO PANEL MACHINE --

  69.     I think that $15 is quite a bargain for this utility.  I was
  70. planning on charging $15 for it back when all it did was rectangular
  71. panels.  After adding all the new features and animation effects, the
  72. price did not go up, but I feel the value has at least doubled.

  74.     Here's how it works, folks:
  75.  
  76.     The cost of the registration is $15.  Payment must be made in the
  77. form of a United States money order.  If you are fortunate enough to
  78. have Internet mail access, I can UUENCODE the file and E-Mail it to
  79. you upon recieving the money order.  If you want, you can call me
  80. after you think your money order has arrived here and I can upload
  81. the file to you directly.  My telephone number is (619) 573-0285.

  83.     If I need to mail the program to you, it gets a bit more
  84. expensive.  If you live within the United States, add $5 for the cost
  85. of a floppy disk and shipping.  If you live outside the United
  86. States, then add $10 for the cost of a floppy disk and shipping.

  88.     If you do not have access to internet E-mail, I strongly suggest
  89. asking a friend to handle the E-Mail for you or something.  Of course
  90. it is important that you know how to UUDECODE files.  It's quicker
  91. and cheaper this way.
