This collection of tar files represents my efforts
at building the sun-lamp sources dated 05 Mar 1994.
MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A CURRENT BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLING.
These are the binaries that I'm using, but obviously
I haven't tested every binary to make sure that they
work.
MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A CURRENT BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLING.
Also, based on the original rootfs and the 720 versions
of the binaries, there are some "extra" files in most
of these directories that are obsolete (or in the wrong
location). [Or somewhere along the line, I may have messed
up! :-] You might consider deleting them.
MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A CURRENT BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLING.
I deleted /usr/share before doing the "make install", so
all of the files that shouldn't be there are probably gone.
The usrlib tar file does not contain libcrypt* files. I
believe that your original ones will still work. If there are
problems with the "crypt-based" binaries, then please let me know
and I'll split the next set of tar files into the non-crypt/crypt
dependant binaries....
Additionally, you will notice that there is no "gnu"
directories in this set of files. The sun-lamp gnu files are
installed in usr/bin, etc.
You will probably need a new kernel to get some of the
new features to work (like getkerninfo).
Unfortunately, I don't believe that this ld.so is working on '040
systems. Since the changes have been added to the sun-lamp tree, the
next set should work correctly.
And finally,
MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A CURRENT BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLING.
Enjoy,
Stephen Roznowski (sjr@zombie.ncsc.mil)
