- Chris Hopps posted a set of patches that fix the problem. What was happening
- is that GRFON shuts off the console, which removes the display. The GRFON
- didn't re-enable the display, so the screeen remained blank. The console
- patches will enable the display when you do a GRFON. [I think the
- vmunix.mykes.tgz kernel includes these patches so that you can run X.]
- I've got both sets of patches that Cris posted and am able to run the X11R5
- server with no problems.
