  7.   Chris Hopps posted a set of patches that fix the problem.  What was happening
  8. is that GRFON shuts off the console, which removes the display.  The GRFON 
  9. didn't re-enable the display, so the screeen remained blank.  The console
  10. patches will enable the display when you do a GRFON.  [I think the
  11. vmunix.mykes.tgz kernel includes these patches so that you can run X.]
  12. I've got both sets of patches that Cris posted and am able to run the X11R5
  13. server with no problems.
