- As I was wonder about the bin-usrgnu.tar.gz file when expanded would
- take up 26 mgegs. It seems I only had 20 or so megs left on my usr partition.
- Now I set my system up as it was in the faq (very close):
-
- /usr sd5d 50megs
- /proj sd5e 14megs
- /opt sd5f 50megs
- /home sd5g 50megs
- /home2 sd5h 18megs
- /root sd6a 8megs
- /swap sd6b 16megs
-
- usrgnu will not unpack onto the usr directory but couldn't I go into
- to the /opt directory and unpack it and that would leave a usr/ directory in
- there and then somehow tell the system it's there.. Is that what a softlink is
- used for. If so could someone tell me the best way to go about this...
-
- Thanks.
