  3.         As I was wonder about the bin-usrgnu.tar.gz file when expanded would 
  4. take up 26 mgegs. It seems I only had 20 or so megs left on my usr partition. 
  5. Now I set my system up as it was in the faq (very close):

  7.         /usr sd5d  50megs
  8.         /proj sd5e 14megs
  9.         /opt  sd5f 50megs
  10.         /home sd5g 50megs
  11.         /home2 sd5h 18megs
  12.         /root sd6a  8megs
  13.         /swap sd6b  16megs 
  14.  
  15.         usrgnu will not unpack onto the usr directory but couldn't I go into 
  16. to the /opt directory and unpack it and that would leave a usr/ directory in 
  17. there and then somehow tell the system it's there.. Is that what a softlink is 
  18. used for. If so could someone tell me the best way to go about this...
