- Hi,
- I just downloaded and installed the new cc-stuff.
- I'm impressed :) Great work!
-
- I still have some questions about it.
- When I start up NetBSD (with the cc-stuff) the console looks
- a bit strange:
- background colour is Black, writing is purple, except for
- underscores and minus symbols, they are green, the coursor
- is Yellow and all the letters are very smeary.
- There are 100 ! lines of text displayed with no overscan.
- The writing is really hard to read, (small & smeary), but
- I could manage to decipher the help messages of iteconfig -h
- :) . Now for the first Time all my monitor is used 70 lines
- 90 charcacters wide. :-)
-
- Now I would like to know where in the kernel sources I need to
- do what in order to make the kernel come up wiht the
- iteconfig settings. At the moment I added a line to
- /etc/rc saying:
- iteconfig -X 2 -Y-2 -H 560 -W 724
- This works fine for the current kernel, but when I use an older
- kernel (709 for X) I need to comment out that line.
-
- Thanks for any help.
-
- btw. I don't know what I need to do to get X to work on 713.
- Several people mentioned to start it like Xbsd >/dev/null, but
- my system still panics. What's the trick?
