  1. I've been looking at equipping my 1200 for use with netbsd, and was looking
  2. for some advice for what hardware to purchase :-) Speedwise how would NetBSD
  3. be on a 33Mhz '030, or is a 50Mhz a great boon and definately worth the money?

  5. Also, is anybody working on a driver for the IDE controller in the 1200/4000,
  6. or should i spend some extra money for a SCSI controller. (Would I really
  7. be in a better position for driver support?)

  9. YAQ, is anybody looking at having X-Windows or even the shell run in a 31Khz
  10. mode rather than PAL or NTSC interlaced? :-) How hard would such an addition
  11. be?

  13. How would NetBSD react to PCMCIA devices? They would need a special driver I
  14. take it?
  15.  
  16. And, finally, can 4megs fast/2megs chip RAM run NetBSD, or is 8megs really
  17. needed to be of any use?

  23. (And yes, I considered buying a second-hand 3000, but they aren't all that
  24. common, and by the time i got it equipped it would be well beyond my price
