- I'd suggest not installing a passwd at all in future rootfs templates. The
- current rootfs is ways outdated anyway, so I'd be very grateful if somebody
- would care to set up a new rootfs after I upload the new binary dist
- (with shared libs). This will probably not happen before next Thursday,
- as I have to do the compilation over the weekend, and won't have tape access
- to the internet before Thursday again.

- If you disable sync, just about any drives should probably work fine. I've
- had some problems with Quantums recently when running sync.

-
- May, may not work.. I'm currently using a DEC DSP3105 with NetBSD, a 3.5"
- 1G drive with same specs as you listed, it works very well. Of course you
- can't do Fast-SCSI2 with the 3000 controller chip (it's too old, and it's
- clocked too slow for the new revision of the chip to be able to run
- Fast-Sync). On the other hand, I've had an IBM 0663-E13 drive for some
- time, same specs, and I had nothing but troubles with that drive, although,
- in times where it worked, it worked nice and fast. I wouldn't exactly recommend
- it though for use on the A3000...
