Hi!
perl-4.036.tar.gz contains a ready-to-install-version
of the Larry Wall's 'practical extraction and report language'
(perl) compiled for NetBSD/Amiga. The directories for msdos,
atarist and os/2 have been deleted; full source is available
on prep.ai.mit.edu...
To install, unpack it in a directory of you choice and do:
% cd perl-4.036
% su
# ./perl installperl
That's it, you'll find perl installed unter /usr/local. If you
don't like this, feel free to recompile. (You'll need two
stub-routines for exp() and log(), as libm.a seems to be
faulty...).
By the way, perl bombs on the op/dbm-test, but I'v no idea why
(buggy stat?) and as I've never used the db-routines I don't
care, sorry! ;-)
Have fun,
Hubert (feyrer@rrzc1.rz.uni-regensburg.de)
