  1. These are the bsd 4.3 manpages for /usr/share/man/man2 and 
  2. /usr/share/man/man3 - os calls and subroutines.  I gathered them from 
  3. ftp.uu.net.

  5. To install, untar this file in /tmp:
  6.  
  7. cd ; /tmp ; tar xzvfp manpages.tar.z
  8.  
  9. then copy the manpages to your /usr/share/man subdir tree:
  10.     mkdir /usr/share/man/man2 ; chmod 755 /usr/share/man/man2
  11.     mkdir /usr/share/man/cat2 ; chmod 755 /usr/share/man/cat2
  12.     cd /tmp/man
  13.     cp *.2 /usr/share/man/man2
  14.     cp *.3 /usr/share/man/man3
