  5. This is a demo version of MapTrix, a new program developed by The Art
  6. Machine. What is MapTrix? Well, it's a fractal generator unlike any
  7. other, offering a variety of fractal effects, in addition to some
  8. image processing tools, all aimed at helping you create textures and
  9. backdrop images for video, 3D rendering or any other graphic work.
  10.  
  11. This program REQUIRES 2.04, so don't even attempt to run it on a
  12. 1.2/1.3 machine. (Although the lucky 3.0 owners should have no
  13. problem).

  15. MapTrix is a program with a lot of room for exploration. Many of the
  16. functions available have multiple "styles", each yeilding different
  17. effects. Additionally, you can experiment with some of the image
  18. processing functions to smooth out, emboss, or convolve any
  19. interesting images you create. (And the handy UNDO function makes
  20. experimeting with image processing a possibility, finally!)
  21.  
  22. This is just a demo, so don't expect to generate full size images.
  23. Although, there is no reason you can't use the program as-is to
  24. create interesting, (and some seamless), repeating brush maps.

  26. I'd especially like to hear feedback from Vertex users regarding the
