^4This issue, the Spotlight is on DAVID BOUCHER.
^7David has two disks in the PD Library, unless I've missed some, and
^7they are both very good.
^2David goes by the name of `Ripoffware' and that's what his games are
^2- new versions of old games -
^4APD 234 - ^6Programs By David Boucher. (1/2meg)
^6There are three programs on this disk, two games, and one utility.
^41. TESLAR.
^6 This is an AMOS version of TETRIS, it's very good and easy to
^6control, the graphics are great, a very playable version of a now
^6classic game.
^42. SNAKE.
^6This is an earlier release of the snake game on disk 301, a good
^6version of an old favourite.
^4APD 301 - ^6Programs by David Boucher.
^6 There are FIVE programs on this disk, it's really good value with
^6two games, a music player and two utilities.
^41. DEFENDER.
^6 Earth is being invaded by aliens and it is up to you, yet again, to
^6save us all. The beasties come speeding down in their flying saucers
^6belting missiles at the city's protective dome. You have to belt them
^6before they fry the city.
^42. SNAKE.
^6 This is another great version of an old game. You have to guide the
^6supercharged snake around the grid defusing mines without letting it
^6crash into the border or into another part of its own body.
^6 The graphics are brill and the presentation is excellent in both
^6these games, and give good V.F.M. on their own.
^43. GHETTOBLASTER.
^6 David has also provided a music player with three pieces by John
^6Kinsella. There is a nicely drawn Ghettoblaster, with an animated
^6cassette deck as the music plays.
^44. AMOS TEXT V1.2
^6 This program can be used to display an ascii file when placed in
^6your disk's ":DOC_Files" directory. It will pick up all ascii files
^6with the suffix .DOC . The display is controlled by clicking on the
^6relevant buttons and onscreen help is always available.
^45. A.F.P.
^6 This program will let you print an ascii file. (Hence A F P = ascii
^6file printer) It is epson compatable and looks as good as the other
^6programs on the disk.
^7 Again both programs are nicely done and worth a look.
^2 David has shown us that he has the talent to produce great games
^2from past ideas, we hope that he will continue as we think that with
^2a `new' game idea, he would have something on Licenseware.
^3 Nice work David!!
