***********************------ Picture-It ------***********************
By Mike Wellman
Hi there Amigaites I hope you like this game.
The idea of the game is to put the picture back together as quickly as
possible, the faster the time the higher the score.
When the title screen has loaded press a mouse button, this will open a
window with a prompt for your name (Up to 10 characters) or any name you care to enter and is the name that will appear in the high score table
(if you get that far).
Press RETURN,
this will bring up the next option which is Beginer or Ace, the difference
being with Beginer you get more time and also you will sometimes get part
numbers to help.
Select "b" or "a" this will bring up the option for music on or off,
Select "y" or "n" (Sorry about the music but I am not musically inclined)
This will bring up th current High Score table, press a mouse button when
ready and the game will start.
On loading the first picture it will stay on view for a few seconds then
it will be broken up and the parts put back on screen in random positions,
these will then move about.
There are 20 parts on first 4 levels but 40 parts for the rest.
to select a part move the target with the mouse over the part you want and
press the left button, move to the position you want to fix it to and press
the right button.
If the part is within 10 pixels in either direction of the correct
position it will be fixed in place, if not it will move away.
when the picture is complete a frame will be drawn around it and the bell
will sound.
if you cannot find some of the pieces click over the parts that are already
in place as some are the same colour and cannot be seen very easily.
On the first 3 levels you will get 4 attempts to complete the picture and
then the game will end, above level 3 you get 3 attempts and then you will
go back 2 levels if you fail once more the game will end.
Press "q" any time during gameplay to end.
There are 30 pictures to complete, if you manage to reach the last one the
game does not end but will bring the pictures up in a random order,
so you can keep on building up the high score.
if you want to add or change pictures they should be named pic1,pic2,pic3,etc
and are in 320X200 16 colour Lowres.
The source is also provided in the source directory.
Hope you enjoy it
