  11. ^1 There must be plenty of parents who are fed up of seeing their kids
  12. ^1play games and nothing else. While games can teach co-ordination and
  13. ^1educational programs teach maths etc, little kids don't seem to want
  14. ^1to make the computer do anything else. Is this because all the
  15. ^1programming languages and books are aimed at older people, or that
  16. ^1some children who have an interest in programming have no one able
  17. ^1to show them?
  18.  
  19. ^6 Whatever the reason, we would like to give these kids a chance to
  20. ^6learn. So please give the youngsters a chance! Half an hour or so now
  21. ^6and them is all they'll need.

  23. ^7 As you are reading this, you obviously have an Amiga, and as it is
  24. ^7Totally Amos in content, you probably have a copy of Amos! There is
  25. ^7no more than a copy of Totally Amos to get, and that's only £2.50p
  26. ^7once every two months!

  28. ^1 This issue's Amos for Kids is just to put forward our ideas, the 
  29. ^1projects will start up in Issue One. (Due in November).

  32. ^2the children using this section will be greatly appreciated.

  38. ^2 This part of [2TOTALLY AMOS[0 is specially for you under 12's who have
  39. ^2seen older brothers and sisters, dads and mums, using[2 AMOS[0 and would
  40. ^2really like to make the Amiga do something that you've told it to!

  42. ^4 Programming isn't just for the big people, everyone can do something!
  43. ^4(And everyone has to start somewhere).
  44.  
  45. ^2 We shall include little programs for you to alter, and try to explain
  46. ^2what is happenning. These will not be mega shoot 'em up games, but
  47. ^2tiny routines that you'll eventually use inside bigger projects.

  49. ^4 There will be graphics and tunes for you as well, we think that you
  50. ^4deserve some disk space!!

  52. ^1 Please write to us and tell us what you'd like to make the computer
  53. ^1do. We hope to put in little programs that you will be able to
  54. ^1understand and change to make them do what you want. They will be
  55. ^1things that change colours, sounds, put things on different parts of
  56. ^1the screen and so on. They will get more complicated as time goes on,
  57. ^1but never too hard to follow.
