  12. ^6 Paint Me A Story[2 (PMAS)[0 is an educational package aimed at 3-10
  13. ^6year olds. It was written with^3[2 AMOS[0^6 and is set for release on August
  14. ^61st.

  16. ^1 The program allows the user to create pictures either with the
  17. ^1inbuilt `stickers' or with the art package supplied. The `stickers'
  18. ^1are in the form of black & white line drawings which can be stuck
  19. ^1onto a background to form a picture. Text can then be added to
  20. ^1describe the picture and make a page. 
  21.  
  22. ^5 A series of these pages is built up on disk to make a whole `book'
  23. ^5which can be played back using the player program.
  24.  
  25. ^6 The pictures can be painted using the art package. There is a 24
  26. ^6colour palette, plus a[2 PATTERN FILL[0 feature which gives a choice of
  27. ^6over 100 patterns. Many of the usual art package functions are
  28. ^6available,[2 FREEHAND DRAW, BOX, OVAL, CIRCLE[0 etc., and these can be
  29. ^6used as outlines or solid filled shapes, or even pattern filled.
  30. ^6There is a[2 ZOOM[0 facility which allows you to repair minor mistakes
  31. ^6and an[2 OOPS[0 button which undoes the last action.

  33. ^2 The text section lets you choose your paper and the pen colour and
  34. ^2there is an edit function which allows the alteration of an incorrect
  35. ^2line.

  37. ^5 To add interest when playing back a story, there are different
  38. ^5screen wipes to choose from, so that each new page can be made to
  39. ^5appear in a different way. Also, you can choose from a variety of
  40. ^5little tunes to accompany your tale.
