  6. NewsCoaster is a newsreader, which requires MUI. NewsCoaster is shareware, and
  7. the unregistered version if limited to viewing a maximum of two newsgroups. Please see
  8. the documentation for details on registering.

  14. New for version 1.23:
  15. - Multiple users allowed, each with their own location for storing news, and optional
  16.   password protection
  17. - Specify different newsservers for posting and reading
  18. - Last used settings for expire type/time on killfiles are remembered and used as
  19.   defaults
  20. - Toolbar buttons are disabled when appropriate (and some menuitems too)
  21. - Bug fixes; hangs whilst downloading, due to date parsing - is a lot more flexible now

  37. - A Killfile can be set to expire a certain number of days either since being created,
  38.   or since it was last used
  39. - Killfiles editor now works a bit more intuitively
  40. - Killfiles editor displays creation and last used dates of each killfile
  41. - Option to archive newsgroup messages into a single text file
  42. - More resistance to crashes (before if there was a crash between having downloaded,
  43.   and before quitting, vital information would not get saved meaning next time you
  44.   downloaded, the old messages would be overwritten! There were other similar problems.
  45.   Now this information is saved immediately after downloading, and other vital places.
  46.   Additionally, even if something still messes up, messages should now never overwrite
  47.   existing files.
  48. - Slight improvement in speed when downloading bodies of articles in online mode
  49. - Repeated clicking on column headings switches order of sorting
  50. - Bug fix; crashes related to online viewing
  51. - Bug fix; autorewrap sometimes didn't work correctly

  113.  - Bug fix - when downloading from groups, in rare cases the article ID information was
  114.    parsed incorrectly.
  115.  - Group list is now not automatically sorted, allowing you to rearrange them as you
  116.    wish (though you can do a sort if you wish).
  117.  - Bug fix - now when you change the ordering of the groups list, NewsCoaster doesn't
  118.    reread in the messages for groups unnecessarily.
  119.  - Faster copying/moving/deleting routines.

  121. New for version 1.12:
  122.  - New killfile - will detect a number given as the last word in Subject, eg, 'Make
  123. lots of money 1206' Such numbers usually indicate an advert or other off-topic
  124. announcement. You can now tell NewsCoaster to avoid these (when the number is 100 or
  125. greater).
  126.  - Recognises '|' as a quoting character (before was just '>', ':' and '!').
  127.  - Bug fix when copying from a view window and pasting into a write window.

  129. New for Version 1.11:
  130.  - Added 'Deleted' folder.
  131.  - Added button on View window to delete current message and move onto next message.
  132.  - When a new message is created, the folder no longer changes to 'Outgoing' (thus
  133.    speeding things up, too).
