MAGICWB ICONS
» 7 «
Released 11-05-95

INTRODUCTION
Here's the seventh MagicWB (
© Martin Huttenloher
) package from me,
Jan-Tore Eliassen
.
This archive contains 60 new icons that I brainstormed together in
about 2 weeks time. I got lots of spare time, U C!
These ReadMe files are really boring the make and read, so I'll keep
the look and feel I'd had since package 3 one more time..
Enjoy!
;-)

CONTENTS
This package contains
60
MagicWB icons, no more, no less. Many icons
aren't made for a specific program, utility or game. The templates
icons I included just for the fuck of it!! Same with most of the
icons in the
Misc
drawer. The
DropMe
icons can be used for Dropbox
sort of utilities..
I have ripped bits and pieces and whole icons from other MagicWB
packages and the NewIcons package. Other are from old icons and docks
packages...

INSTALLATION
Click on
'ClickForColors'
for the
NEW
MagicWB v2.0 palette.
Use a icon update program: MUI_IconUpdate, IconUpdate, SwazInfo or
Iconizer, which preserves the tooltypes and position of the icon,
to update your old icons.
_____________________________________________________________________
NOTE
All the icons in this package are in 8 colors, 3 bitplanes.
MagicWB v2.0 have a demon that controls the icons (and patterns) so
that they have the correct colors. So if you use more than 8 colors
on your WB, the icon colors will not be messed up! This makes
MagicWB v2.0 nearly as fast as the standard 4 color icons.
There's a utility available now that I can't remember the name of,
that let you poor sods that doesn't have registered MagicWB can
use instead of the MagicWB 2 demon. You can also use IconDepth for
converting them to 3 bitplanes (this will also eliminate ugly icons
if you use 16+ colors) aswell as speeding up your Workbench a bit.
MagicWB look best for screens sized 640x512 and above. Don't use it
with 640x256 screens, it's FUCKING ugly!
Icons are meant to replace the text in a GUI-Graphic User Interface,
so avoid using large fonts on the WB. XHelvetica 9 or 11 are big
enough for the WB. Just a friendly advise!!

THANKS
I want to thank the following:
- Martin Huttenloher for creating MagicWB. When will the 16 colors
ones be ready?
- Roman Patzer for his very high quality RomIcons, which really
blows my mind! How do you do it?
:-)
- To the folks who have sent me greetings, thinking my icons are
worth while. Thanks, I really appreciate it. My self-esteem are
rising by the minutes...
- Heavy Metal & Heavy Rock, for without I've had perfectly good
hearing!
- Escom for buying the Amiga. And hopefully will continue the legacy!
- George Lucas for starting making a new StarWars trilogy
(Hopefully!?).
- My contacts (no one mention, no one forgotten) for keeping me
up-to-date.

Woe to you, Oh Earth and Sea, for the Devil sends the beast

Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the
beast for it is a human number, its number Six hundred
