  3. This is a collection of icons in 16 colors, with a few older icons in 8
  4. and 4 colors for those with low-demand workbenches or (choke) OS 1.3. This
  5. Icon collection is freely distributable as long as the collection is
  6. distributed in its entirety along with this docfile.

  8. These Icons are on a 16 color system, basically related to the Magic WB
  9. type of icon art with some actual colors added. The icon pallette is
  10. "semi" Magic WB compatible, meaning that 8-color Magic WB icons (not
  11. padded to 8 bitplanes) will look OK here. I just wanted some color, like
  12. that NewIcons guy, but I didn't want to resort to the isometric wad of
  13. newicons. Speaking of pallette, the 16 colors for EWB icons are:

  33. For OS 2.0/2.1 users, It is easy to adapt your workbench screen and
  34. palette prefs to fit these icons. The nature of WB 3.0 and above requires
  35. an intermediary program, such as SetPens to set the screen colors that the
  36. palette prefs do not directly control (Palette only controls the first
  37. four and last four colors of however big a color set you've got). Also, if
  38. you wish to modify these icons, you will need a different Icon editor than
  39. the one that comes with the OS. I would recommend "Iconian" by Chad
  40. Randall, mainly because I used it to create a lot of these icons.
