AGA Experience Vol 2. −1996 SAJENESS SOFTWARE / NFA - All Rights Reserved ** Welcome to The AGA Experience Boot Disk. This disk was created to help users who are still using just floppy drives. Due to the size of Workbench 3 it is not really suitable to run off floppy, and many features are not available if used this way. This causes some problems with AGA Experience which uses some of the advanced features of WB3. I think this would be good time to give a little bit of advice BUY A HARD DRIVE!! :-) FIRST OF ALL: Assuming you have The AGA Experience CD in your CDROM drive (and your CDROM driver properly installed on this disk (see later)), you should load the CLICKME! icon on this disk. If you do this, the CD will be almost ready to use. You should still then load the ClickMeFirst icon on the CD to ensure trouble-free usage. Booting from this Boot disk improves a number of things. Firstly, it sets up the Magic Workbench colour scheme. It also sets up a suitable Workbench font. The Boot disk also includes most of the required libraries, and makes some assigns. You will still have to load the 'ClickMe' icon on the CD when you use it though. However, you will not have to use the Screenmode, ChangeFont or ClickMeForColors icons. NOTE: If you are using a Hard Drive, you will not have to use this disk (unless you want to). I would advise installing the MagicWB1.2p package (on the CD - AGA_Utilities/MagicWB/MagicWB1.2p) to your Hard Drive, and read the documentation that comes with MagicWB. If you like the MagicWB look and would like the latest, much-improved version, details can be found in the 'MagicWB2.0d' directory on the CD - (inside 'AGA_Utilities/MagicWB').| VERY IMPORTANT: In-order to use this disk, you MUST install your CDROM driver A COP software to it, but before doing this PLEASE MAKE A COPY OF THIS DISK. The easiest way to install the CDROM driver software to this disk is usually to use the software that came with your CDROM drive. Most people have installed their CDROM software to a copy of their Workbench disk, and this MOTULA ish, and must be repeated on this disk. It can also be done manually, and normally involves copying the dosdriver (CDO) from deus/dosdrivers to the Boot disk's deus/dosdrivers, and also installing the CDROM handler (into the Boot disk 'L' directory). Some CDROM drives may also need a device copying to this disk's 'deus' dra drawer. er. Don't worry if this all sounds complicated in 99% of cases the software supplied with your CDROM drive should do all of this for you. 20 If you are still not sure how to copy your CDROM driver software to another disk, please contact the manufacturer of your drive. If they won't help you, we could still probably help, and we maybe able to create the boot disk for you, so get in touch. If you still have problems with any aspect of The AGA Experience, please contact us! I hope you enjoy using your CD! Richard Brown / SADENESS PD V
