  1. Overland Data is happy to provide you FLASHBAK.

  3. Flashbak is a MSDOS-PCDOS backup, file management, utility
  4. designed for fast intuitive use.  This version is designed
  5. to be a useful, fast, floppy based backup of hard disk systems.
  6. All backup is done from hard disk (drive C:, D:, etc) to and from
  7. floppy drive A:  Standard DSDD disks are used (formatted or unformatted).
  8. This program is NOT designed to backup files from floppy to floppy.

  10. The entire directory tree structure of the hard disk is displayed
  11. allowing the user to browse through directorys and files. This
  12. easy approach to backup file selection simplifies and encourages
  13. frequent backup.

  15. The restore process is virtually identical with the backup process
  16. simplifing usage.

  18. Flashbak(TM) was originally developed as a tape based backup
  19. utility for 9 track tape. We felt putting a floppy front end
  20. on it would provide a service to the large number of people
  21. who need to backup smallish amounts of data where floppies would
  22. be adequate.

  24. Flashbak is a shareware type program. Please feel free to
  25. distribute copies to friends, upload to bulletin boards, etc.
  26. The only requirement is that the program not be altered in
