  1. What is ShortCut?
  2.  
  3. ShortCut is many things.  It is a communicator between you and DOS,
  4. the operating system of your computer.  It is a file manager and disk
  5. organizer.  It is a shortcut to getting your work done, offering you
  6. features not available in DOS.

  8. ShortCut allows you to send commands to DOS even if you are using
  9. another program.  For example, you might be using your word processor,
  10. spreadsheet, or database manager when you realize you want to copy
  11. some files to another disk.  Normally you would have to save your
  12. work, exit your program, type in the DOS command to copy the files,
  13. perhaps type in additional copy commands, restart your program, and
  14. retrieve your work file.  Now you only need to call up ShortCut with
  15. one keystroke and "point" at the files, the COPY command, and the
  16. destination of your files.  ShortCut does the work.  When the files
  17. are copied, you return to your program with one more keystroke.  Your
  18. program continues as if nothing happened!

  20. ShortCut takes the hassle out of DOS.  You work rapidly and with less
  21. effort.  Yet you do not sacrifice flexibility as ShortCut can handle
  22. any DOS command gracefully.  Using your computer is simply more fun
  23. and less work.
