  5.    A Full-Featured System for Numerical Analysis and Reporting

  7.    Overview:
  8.    The AnalytiCalc system from General Cybernetic Engineering includes a
  9.    full featured spreadsheet, graphics programs, documents, and facilities
  10.    for performing many commonly needed functions. Database data extraction
  11.    and word processing integration are built in. A scheduling program is
  12.    also furnished for calendar, meeting scheduling, and similar functions.

  14.    Features include:

  16.    * 18000 by 18000 cell spreadsheet size using virtual memory so that the
  17.         ENTIRE sheet can be used. Total storage can be as much as 6 times
  18.         greater than possible using popular programs such as 1-2-3 on a
  19.         memory-loaded PC. The 256K version gives full capacity. Over
  20.         2 megabytes of virtual storage is available and no penalty for
  21.         using cells other than in the upper left corner of the address
  22.         space exists.
  23.    * Full random access to other saved spreadsheet formulas or values from any
  24.         cells.
  25.    * Easy save or merge of partial sheets with the most flexible cell addressing
  26.         in the industry.
  27.    * As many windows on screen as you like. Up to 400 can be handled on screen,
  28.         and more on printouts. You're not limited to 2, 4, or 8 regions
  29.         as you are in some programs.
  30.    * Ability to drive any cell from external macros, or to drive the entire
  31.         sheet from other external macros.
  32.    * Functions provided for extracting data by keys from data files on the system, 
  33.         or for reading in normal ASCII files and automatically breaking them
  34.         up for easy calculation.
  35.    * Automatic "audit" display available to allow you to see exactly how the
  36.         formulas on your spreadsheet are related. Can be printed out in this
  37.         format also.
  38.    * Built in matrix algebra, random number generation, date arithmetic and
  39.         conversions between all necessary date formats. Can compute weekdays.
  40.    * Ability built in to vary up to 8 parameters automatically to solve systems
  41.         of equations. Used with cell programs and/or matrix algebra routines,
  42.         this gives mathematical power unparalleled in machines of the PC
  43.         class. Also linear regression, Fourier transforms available.
  44.    * Full selection of scientific, engineering, logical, business, and arithmetic
  45.         functions. Up to 109 characters of formula per cell, which may contain
  46.         multiple equations. (One AnalytiCalc cell can frequently do the work
  47.         of several cells in other programs.)
  48.    * Table addressing functions and lookup functions useful for multi dimensional
  49.         access around the sheet.
  50.    * Conditionals, display sorting, access to formulas (rather than values) for
  51.         sorts, dynamic modifications of formulas where desired.
  52.    * Recursive macro substitution capability for simple re-use of complex parts of
  53.         formulas. In 320K version, this may be done by name; in 256K version,
  54.         by address.
  55.    * Fast add/subtract multiple whole sheets (for summaries or to highlight

  65.    * Mechanism for executing any DOS commands from within AnalytiCalc without
  66.         losing context. May be driven by macros (command files) anywhere
  67.         they are legal.

  70.    * Uses 8087 for faster calculations if available. Understands full PCDOS 2.0
  71.         path filename syntax.

  73.         manual available online with search utility to facilitate locating
  74.         critical information quickly. F1 used as help key (as is common in many
  75.         DOS programs). User may expand command set using supplied files.

  77.         disks or hard disks. (We object to programs that make it hard for you
  78.         to use them.)
  79.    * Runs on most any MSDOS machine if sufficient usable memory exists.

  81.         plots from a single keystroke.
  82.    * 1-2-3 (tm) type command interface or "command-mostly" interface to avoid
  83.     typing lots of "/" keys when desired.

  85.    * Graphics utilities generate histograms, scatterplots, piecharts, line
  86.         graphs, linear regressions, and more. Output for histograms and
  87.         scatterplots may go to ANY MSDOS device or file.

  89.         The AnalytiCalc system is priced, not at $500.00, but at $49.95
  90.         because we believe that good software should be inexpensive so that
  91.         it will be widely available and used. We prefer to make a small profit
  92.         on each sale rather than try to impoverish a smaller number of users
  93.         by charging a larger price. We believe the $500 packages are over
  94.         priced; try this one and see if you don't agree.
