- The next value is the decimal value for the location of the COM port. Here
- are some typical start-addresses. COM1 (the usual value) is at hex 3F8.

- Hex280 = Dec0640 / Hex288 = Dec0648 / Hex290 = Dec0656 / Hex298 = Dec0664
- Hex2E8 = Dec0744 / Hex2F8 = Dec0760 / Hex3E8 = Dec1000 / Hex3F8 = Dec1016

1016 1016 is COM1 (the usual value).

CONNECT Response meaning "300 Baud connect".
CONNECT 1200 Response meaning "1200 Baud connect".
CONNECT 2400 Response meaning "2400 Baud connect".

ATH0 Command to hang up the line.
ATM0X1S7=20 Command to initially configure modem.

- The next three items specify the method used to drop carrier. Of the
- two methods, DTR is best because it is fastest. Use it if possible.
- DTR drops Data Terminal Ready for time indicated by Disconnect Delay.
- ATTN sends the Attention String with Disconnect Delays on either side.
- Having thus gotten command mode, it sends the command to hang up.
