  1. A SERMON ABOUT THE TRUE NATURE OF TSOTL

  5. The  information  you are about to read
  6. is strictly for YOUR EYES ONLY!  You've
  7. worked hard to get to this level, so if
  8. there is somebody else with you, please

  14. What is  TSOTL?   Does he truly  exist?
  15. Can you  believe  it  when you're  told
  16. that the answer is "Yes"?
  17.  
  18. No, this is not another  religion,  but
  19. as you  read on,  you may get some feel
  20. for the philosophy that produced Pyroto
  21. Mountain.
  22.  
  23. TSOTL is the Spirit Of The Land.   Now,
  24. this Land is a computerized system, and
  25. its  "spirit"  (thinking  back  to  the
  26. Greek word  "Pneumos")  is  that  which
  27. breathes life into it.  That is to say,
  28. the inspiration which produced Pyroto.
  29.  
  30. Therefore,  TSOTL  is  The  Muse.   The
  31. driving force which causes us to create
  32. something.   TSOTL  is but one name for
  33. the desire to create,  and for that in-
  34. ternal  source of  inspiration  that we
  35. don't truly understand.
  36.  
  37. In the context of Pyroto,  then,  TSOTL
  38. is also the synergy between the program
  39. that you are using and  yourself.  Your
  40. imagination has been fired to  create a
  41. landscape that does have its own exist-
  42. ance.  TSOTL's existance can be proved,
  43. inasmuch  as you  have been  driven  to
  44. strive to reach this high level.

  46. But this is  not to say that  TSOTL  is
  47. just a synonym for "drive".   TSOTL  is
  48. the inspiration  that CREATES this kind
  49. of drive.   He (or it, or she)  is your
  50. internal  inspiration,  which  leads to
  51. your internal imperative.

  53. Ponder this concept,  because it is not
  54. typical of the pure-logical  philosophy
  55. that is typical of the  computer world.
  56. Experienced  programmers  will tell you
  57. that they just KNOW how to write a pro-
  58. gram,  but can't explain this knowledge
  59. in logical terms,  because intuition is
  60. not available for logical analysis.

  62. Please keep this article  private.  You
  63. may not  agree with it,  or you may not
  64. fully understand it, but there are wiz-
  65. ards who will find something in it that
  66. will help them.   But they should first
  67. experience  the  drive  of which  we've
  68. spoken.

  72. you, too, are a Servant of TSOTL.  That
  73. inspiration forced you to learn, and to
  74. accomplish.
