You must have the very latest drivers. The game will still work if you do not have them, but will not look as nice. Get the most recent version that you can.
Installing smaller versions
--------------------------------
Please note : -
To install a smaller version of the game than is already installed (e.g. without commentry) you must first uninstall the game before installing.
Direct X & Glide
---------------------
You will be asked to install directx 5. This is strongly recommended..
The file "glide2x.dll" is needed to run the 3dfx version.
This should already be in your windows/system directory if you have a 3dfx card installed.
Cannot run the game
------------------------------
If you get a warning message similar to this:
Expected VDX version V1.2, got 1.1
then you will need to install the directx drivers.
Re-install the game and say 'yes' when it askes you. This is strongly recommended anyway.
Uninstall warning while installing
-------------------------------------
Sometimes you may get a warning when installing along the lines of : may not be able to uninstall properly.
This can sometimes occur if the uninstall file gets corrupted.
This is unlikely but if it should happen it would be wise to exit the install and manually uninstall the program (see below). You will then be clear to install the game.
Manually uninstalling
-----------------------
Ther are a number of reasons why you may need to manually uninstall.
The uninstall relys on the registry. If this becomes corrupted it could fail. Always try the Add/Remove Programs application in the Control Panel. If for any reason this fails you should be ok to delete the files in the main newmanhaas folder (with newhass.exe in it) and delete the registry entries in regedit under:
