1997 In his fifth consecutive season in 1997 with the STP Racing team, Jimmy Vasser faced a difficult task trying to better his 1996 performance. He began the 1997 campaign as a heavy favourite to duplicate his efforts and win the PPG/CART World Series championship and enjoyed a very good season winning at Laguna Seca and scoring podium finishes at Vancouver (2nd), California (2nd), Homestead (3rd) and Milwaukee (3rd).
1996 Wins Miami, Surfer's paradise, Long Beach and the US 500. Winner of the PPG Indy Car World Series Championship.
1995 Joined Chip Ganassi Team, obtained four front row starts, two second place finishes.
1994 Started 16 PPG/IndyCar events with four top 10 finishes.
1993 Competed in 12 PPG/IndyCar events, third at Phoenix.
1992 Competed in seven PPG/IndyCar races. Best finish seventh at Long Beach. He was the fastest Rookie qualifier for the Indy 500 with 222.313 mph.

1989 Canadian Formula 2000 Series, two front-row starts, three runnerup finishes and a lap record at Mosport. In SCCA Pro Sports 2000 ranks, wins at Mesa Marin. Added a pole, lap record, two fastest race laps and a runnerup finish in SCCA Pro Sports 2000 competition.
