  15.           specialized and optimized for the only K1.  In other words, it takes
  16.           only the memory that's needed.  Shareware!

  23. EARTRAIN  Ear Trainer by F. Hundley is a program to help young (and older)
  24.           music students to gain the ability to easily recognize and name the
  25.           musical tones they hear in scales and music.  This is a very handy
  26.           talent for music appreciation, composing and improvasation.  While
  27.           this program is more of a drill, it plays sort of like the game
  28.           'Simon', just a lot more different notes to remember. 
  29. GROOVE    The Groove Analogue Sequencer Simulator by Tim Wright is a program
  30.           for the Atari ST range of computers which is designed to replicate
  31.           the effects of early "analogue" sequencers using modern MIDI equipped
  32.           sound creation devices.  Patterns can be created and sent to a number
  33.           of different MIDI devices, producing both notes and also such effects
  34.           as pitch bend, patch change, or controller.  Patterns can also be
  35.           transposed in real time utilising either the mouse or MIDI input from
  36.           a suitable controller keyboard.
  37. MMM       Midi Music Maker by Dave Henry is the world's most comprehensive
  38.           music player program capable of playing many of the thousands of
  39.           music files available through public domain for several types of
  40.           computers.  It will control the songs and regulate the instrument
  41.           presets and channels and on which the music is sent to synthesizer.
  42.           It support 8 different music file formats (including standard Midi
  43.           files)
  44. MOD_PRNT  MOD Print version 1.0.0 by Dan Panke.  Attention all MOD users/
  45.           composers!  Ever wanted to print or display a complete MOD file?  If
  46.           your answer was yes, then MOD Print is for you.  Simple run
  47.           'MOD_PRNT.PRG' and select a MOD file for operation.  An Alert Box
  48.           will appear and ask you whether you want to SAVE the MOD display to a
  49.           file, send the display to your PRINTER, or show the MOD on screen.

  53. PTPLAY03  PT-PLAYER version 1.03 (patched version) by Petri Kuittinen (alias

  55.           This is program is supposed to play Noise- and ProTracker module
  56.           files via Yamaha-2149 sound chip.  The sound output is 17.1 Khz mono
  57.           PCM sound with 12-bit dynamics. This program works on all resolutions
  58.           and on all screen refresh rates.  It works on all Atari ST/STe models
  59.           It doesn't work correctly on machines with 68030 processors.
  60. SNDBYTE   The Sound-Byte Program version 1.00 by Structured Technology is a GEM
  61.           based sound generator program for the Atari ST/MEGAST computers.  It
  62.           let's you create a wide range of sound effects using the ST's built
  63.           in sound chip (the Yamaha YM-2149  Programmable Sound Generator).

  65. ST_PLAY   This folder contains a TOS program by Daniel A. Glasser that plays
  66.           songs in up to three parts on the internal sound chip from binary
  67.           data files, also contained in this folder.  The program does not
  68.           require any extra hardware and works in any resolution.  The binary
  69.           data files were created using a music compiler that the author is
  70.           working on based on one for the BBN BitGraph terminal.
