  1.                 VA-PROTOCOL Support Functions

  3.  The functions in vafunc.c support the calling and receiving of the 
  4.  VA-Protocol messages that Gemini and Ease etc support.
  5.  Also I have added a couple of functions for calling ST-Guide and 
  6.  1STGuide.
  7.  
  8.  Unfortunately, I have not had time to translate the German comments, if 
  9.  anyone has problems implementing VA support with these functions then 
  10.  contact me (mdavidsona@cix) and I will try to help. NB My German is 
  11.  mainly guesswork, so a translation from me may never happen :-(

  13.  I have sucessfully used several of these functions within my own 
  14.  programs, so they do work :-)
