  1.                                OS/2 2.0 Fixes
  2.  
  3.  While OS/2 2.0 does not as yet have CSDs out, there are a number of
  4.  individual patches out to fix specific problems.  These patches are
  5.  available for downloading from either the IBM NSC/TA BBS, the IBM 
  6.  OS/2 BBS (subscription only), or CompuServe (subscription only). Each 
  7.  ZIP file contains the corrected program files or drivers, as well as
  8.  a text file explaining how to install them. The filenames (as they
  9.  are called on the NSC BBS in directory # 17; the names may differ on
  10.  the other systems) and what they fix are as follows:

  14.  BVHSVGA.ZIP     (Contains BVHSVGA.DLL replacement)  Western Digital
  15.                   SVGA adapters with 1MB of video RAM crashing with
  16.                   C0000005 error. 
  17.  COM.ZIP         (Contains COM.SYS, VCOM.SYS replacements)  Provides
  18.                   new DOS setting allowing user to remove I/O hooks for
  19.                   COM ports without rebooting.  Fixes problems with
  20.                   AS/400 Async Router, D'Bridge, FastLynx, FSDUAT, and
  21.                   FOSSIL drivers like X00.SYS. 
  22.  ENDVDM.ZIP      (Contains EXIT_VDM.DBG)  A small DEBUG input file to
  23.                   create a program that will close a DOS session or
  24.                   bootable VDM that is hung.  This is the only way to
  25.                   close a bootable VDM.  (Type: DEBUG <EXIT_VDM.DBG>) 
  26.  FLPALETT.ZIP    (Contains 14 *.PAL palette files)  Fix for Lotus
  27.                   Freelance Palette problems involving colors not
  28.                   displaying properly. 
  29.  IBM1S506.ZIP    (Contains IBM1S506.ADD replacement)  Problems during
  30.                   installation on AT-bus systems with ST-506 controller
  31.                   and MFM/RLL drives (slow drive performance, excessive
  32.                   noise from drive). 
  33.  IBM1FLPY.ZIP    (Contains IBM1FLPY.ADD replacement)  Problems reading/
  34.                   writing 360K diskettes, and formatting 1.2MB diskettes,
  35.                   on AT-bus PCs. 
  36.  IBM3852.ZIP     (Contains IBM3852.DRV)  Supplies driver for older IBM
  37.                   printer that was included in 1.3, but not 2.0. 
  38.  IBM5152.ZIP     (Contains IBM5152.DRV)  Supplies driver for older IBM
  39.                   printer that was included in 1.3, but not 2.0. 
  40.  IBM5182.ZIP     (Contains IBM5182.DRV)  Supplies driver for older IBM
  41.                   printer that was included in 1.3, but not 2.0. 
  42.  IBM52011ZIP     (Contains IBM52011.DRV)  Supplies driver for older IBM
  43.                   printer that was included in 1.3, but not 2.0. 
  44.  IBM5216.ZIP     (Contains IBM5216.DRV)  Supplies driver for older IBM
  45.                   printer that was included in 1.3, but not 2.0. 
  46.  MOUSE.ZIP       (Contains MOUSE.SYS replacement)  Mouse driver too slow
  47.                   for some users.  Fix doubles mouse ballistics.  (Only
  48.                   applies to mice connected to PS/2-style mouse port.) 
  49.  NETSRV.ZIP      (Contains NWLITE.PAT)  A fix for Novell NetWare Lite 1.0.
  50.                   Stops failures that kill a DOS session.  (Use with the
  51.                   PATCH command.) 
  52.  OS2KRNL.ZIP     (Contains OS2KRNL replacement)  SWAPPER.DAT was not
  53.                   shrinking when memory was freed up. of other OS2KRNL
  54.                   fix.)  Fixes errors with FCBs.  Also problems with
  55.                   AutoCAD, SideKick, and Word Perfect Library. (Mutually
  56.                   exclusive of other OS2KRNL fix.) 
  57.  RESTKN.ZIP      (Contains RESETOKN.EXE, RESETOKN.SYS)  Allows you to
  58.                   reset the Token-Ring adapter without rebooting, while
  59.                   OS/2 is still running. 
  60.  VEMM.ZIP        (Contains VEMM.SYS replacement)  Lotus apps (and others)
  61.                   unable to see EMS memory. 
  62.  VSVGA.ZIP       (Contains VEGA.SYS, VVGA.SYS and VSVGA.SYS replacements)
  63.                   Entering a DOS or Win-OS2 full-screen session on a
  64.                   system using an SVGA adapter with the Tseng ET4000
  65.                   chipset (batch TC6059AF or higher) caused the video to 
  66.                   go out of sync, requiring a cold boot to correct.
