  2.             Registration Information for QCALC Version 1.22:

  7. FOR INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY/HOME USE, choose a registration method:

  10. Guiltware:
  11. It is not mandatory to register guiltware -- use it as long and
  12. extensively as you like.  However, know that the author would really,
  13. really, really, really like you to register.  Registration for guiltware
  14. is simple.  To get rid of the loud pangs of guilt in your brain, send me
  15. five dollars ($3).  If you choose to ignore these signals, may ten
  16. thousand camels spit in your oatmeal.  Note:  Guiltware users aren't
  17. real users, they're only shareware users in training.

  19. Shareware:
  20. Avoid the guilt altogether and register for ten dollars ($5).  Basic
  21. Registration will get you update notifications, and a personal
  22. commendation from the Queen of England.  With Advanced Registration, for
  23. twenty dollars ($10), you'll be sent the next major updated version on
  24. disk, AND the Queen of England.

  27. FOR BUSINESS USE, don't change that channel:

  30. Businesses don't have guilt, so let's drop that angle.  You have the
  31. right to try QCALC for one (1) month to evaluate it's worth.  After the
  32. trial period, either pay up, or discontinue usage.  Basic registration
  33. is $20 per site and includes update notices.  Advanced Registration is
  34. $30 per site, and gets you the next major updated version on disk.  Site
  35. licenses are available, as well as customizable code.

  38. TECHNICAL SUPPORT

  41. For non-guiltware registered users, you will receive a minimal form of
  42. technical support.  That is, I'll respond to a phone call or two, or
  43. even better, I'll reply to any letters on GEnie, Delphi, or Internet --
  44. See the READ.ME file for my electronic addresses.  (Or even, GASP, US
  45. Mail.)  Those who think this is rather wimpy technical support plan
  46. should realize I'm only one programmer, this isn't what I do all day,
  47. and you're paying a pretty cheap registration fee anyhow so keep quiet.

  50. DISTRIBUTION OF QCALC

  53. QCALC may be distributed freely.  It may not be sold.  Shareware houses
  54. may charge a copying fee of no more than five dollars ($5).  All of the
  55. files must be distributed together; see the file READ.ME for a list of
  56. all the QCALC files.  Do not give QCALC to small mountain gorillas, as
  57. they do not respect my software.  They're mean and cruel and tear up the
  58. diskettes, and it just makes me cry so don't do it.  Thank you.
