NEW FEATURES IN QESSUMRY 6.1
* QESSUMRY now automatically generates a User Response Statis-
tics file every time the (R)esponse Messages to Users option
is taken. This ensures that the <filename>.URS file is
current.
* QESSUMRY checks the questionnaire data file for possible
errors and writes the line number of the error to a file.
* Minor corrections to the file location error system.
NEW FEATURES IN QESSUMRY 6.0
* The Response Messages to Users feature has been redesigned
to create a single message merge file.
* The User Response Statistics option now includes a detail of
the number of responding users who selected the "correct"
answer to each question and identifies the top scoring user
or users.
* Significant errors are written to a file called QESSUMRY.ERR
on the default drive/subdirectory.
NEW FEATURES IN QESSUMRY 5.0
* QESSUMRY 5.0 generates individual text messages from the
User Response Summary, for incorporation into individual
RBBS messages. (Modified significantly in QESSUMRY 6.0)
* Fixed error in user statistics module which terminated
program with an "end of file" error when reading last users
final response if last line in data file was a question
response.
* Fixed display error if error was found on command line.
* Program now recognizes absence of either command line param-
eter and prompts for entry. (Previous versions required
both filename and output type to be present if either was
used on the command line.)
* Version 5.0 now allows questionnaires of up to 25 questions.
(The previous limit was 15 questions.)
* Some of the code has been modified to improve performance.
* Corrected minor errors in documentation appendices.
NEW FEATURES IN QESSUMRY 4.0
* Version 4.0 fixes a bug in the redisplay feature described
for version 3.1.
* The name of the questionnaire data file (.DAT) and the
output switch may be entered in any order on the command
line. Previous versions required that the output switch,
preceded by "-" or "/", be placed first on the command line.
NEW FEATURES IN QESSUMRY 3.1
* Version 3.1 "remembers" the questionnaire data file in use
and continues to use that data file until the questionnaire
name is changed or until the session is ended. To continue
to use the same questionnaire data file, press {ENTER} at
the main prompt. To accommodate this feature, "X" must now
be entered at the main prompt to end the session.
NEW FEATURES IN QESSUMRY 3.0
* The program now recycles. Previous versions could only
create one output each time the program was run.
* It is no longer necessary for "correct" answers to be pro-
vided to questions before explanations may be provided.
This recognizes the occasional need to further clarify
questions or to indicate the "most right" answer to an
opinion poll.
* If no answer file is present, and one is desired, the user
now has the option to output answers typed on the screen to
a file for future use. (<filename>.ANS file)
* Explanations to questions, typed on the screen, may now be
output to a file for future use. (<filename>.EXP file)
* Individual user's percentages of correct answers, and ques-
tions missed by each user responding to the questionnaire,
may now be summarized and output to a file. (<filename>.URS
file)
* The program now determines the number of possible answers to
each question and configures the tally and percentage out-
puts to the proper number of answers.
