  2. Installation of Shareware Version:
  3. ----------------------------------
  4. There are 5 'zip' files included with the Shareware version of
  5. Omega Point/2 BBS. They are: OP2EXE1.ZIP, OP2EXE2.ZIP, OP2MENU.ZIP,
  6. OP2DEV.ZIP, and OP2DOC.ZIP. If your version does not have all of
  7. these files, you should call the Omega Point/2 support BBS and
  8. download them.
  9.  
  10. The best way to install the system is to unzip it to a floppy
  11. disk and run the included install program. To do this, create
  12. the following directories off the root directory on a high
  13. density floppy disk: '\dev', '\doc', and '\mnu'.
  14.  
  15. Next, unzip OP2EXE1.ZIP and OP2EXE2.ZIP onto the root directory
  16. of the floppy. Then, unzip OP2MENU.ZIP to the directory '\mnu',
  17. unzip the file OP2DEV.ZIP to the directory '\dev', and finally,
  18. unzip the file '\doc' to the directory '\doc'.

  20. Alternativly, you can unzip all of the files onto a directory
  21. called '\RUNBBS' on your hard disk. After doing this, you
  22. will need to rename the file 'config.sav' to 'config.bbs' 
  23. and the file 'ports1.bbs' to 'ports.bbs'. Then enter the
  24. command 'dobbs' to run the system.

  27. Printing the Manual:
  28. --------------------
  29. The manual file, called 'bbsdoc.prn', can be dumped to any
  30. laser or dot matrix printer. Simply enter the command "copy
  31. bbsdoc.prn prn:".

  34. Features:
  35. ---------
  36. Note that certain features are disabled in the Shareware
  37. version. In particular, Internet Network E-mail is not
  38. available to un-registered users.

  41. Shareware Licence:
  42. ------------------
  43. This file is included with the shareware versions of Omega Point/2
  44. Bulletin Board System. This licence entitles you to install and
  45. operate Omega Point/2 for up to 60 days before you must legally
  46. register and pay for the system. 
  47.  
  48. This agreement covers version 0.9x only. Future versions are not
  49. covered by this licence. 
  50.  
  51. You may distribute this software to anyone you choose so long
  52. as the distribution files are not modified in any way (you may
  53. modify your own copies) and so long as no more then a nominal
  54. fee ($10 or less) is charged for the software or it's delivery.

  57. A Note About Shareware:
  58. -----------------------
  59. Shareware is NOT freeware or public domain software. If you continue
  60. to use the software past the 60 day trial period, you are legally
  61. bound to register your copy. A great deal of time has been invested
  62. in the development of this package, help maintain the concept of
