  5. AN IMPORTANT NOTE ON THE PARENTAL LOCK FEATURE:
  6. -----------------------------------------------
  7. The parental lock option allows adults to adjust the violence level in 
  8. Soldier of Fortune and eliminate some content that parents might deem 
  9. inappropriate for their children. Adult users have the option to set a 
  10. password in the game interface and adjust the content to their liking. 
  11. Once the password is set, the settings will remain until the password is 
  12. correctly entered again. Parents should keep their Parental Lock password
  13. out of the reach of children!

  71. IMPORTANT PLAYING TIPS: * NOTE: Running Soldier of Fortune is resource 
  72. intensive. Be sure to close any background applications before playing the 
  73. game.

  76.    --> The best way to learn about the controls and the gameplay is
  77.     to play through the Tutorial.  That's what it's there for.
  78.  
  79.    --> Shooting teammates is a bad idea.  Your crosshair lights up red for 
  80.        enemies and green for allies and teammates.  Don't fire when the 
  81.        crosshair is green. Remember, you lose frags for killing your 
  82.        teammates in Team deathmatch. Check your fire!

  84.    --> Don't forget your Flash Paks and C4... They're especially 
  85.       effective against groups of opponents!

  87.    --> Combat is deadly.  Use cover wisely.
  88.           Learn to use the "Lean" commands (USE+STRAFE) to look and 
  89.           fire around corners.

  91.    --> To get innocents out of a potentially deadly combat situation
  92.           'use' them.  This lets them know it is safe to run!

  94.    --> Remember that louder weapons will make more enemies find you 
  95.           easier!  When in doubt, try stealth.
