This is an IGM MODULE for LORD v 326a AND HIGHER:

Is not guaranteed to do anything...
Has been tested on my own bbs (4 NODES/no FOSSIL) and a few others
Fossil support has been tested
Monitors DROPPED CARRIER and KEYBOARD TIMEOUTS....

I may be able to figure out what is going on...
I will not go into detail on setting up an IGM for LORD...
You should already know how to do that if you are using this IGM.
This IGM module will monitor for dropped carrier and
user input TIMEOUT (set to 1 minute)......
The users time in this module will be monitored.
Time left is returned to LORD upon exit of the IGM..........
A mail#.dat is wrote to in the LORD directoy which is read
by LORD upon return from the IGM....
INFO.## is also rewrote as far as USERS TIME LEFT ONLY!

IMPORTANT:
Previous USERS/TESTERS:
This latest BETA release is named FWORLDxx.EXE with xx being the
release version..... NOT NEWWORLD anymore...
I recommend you reinstall FWORLD from scratch...
Use FWINSTALxx.EXE
DAT files are now FWORLD.DAT and not NEWWORLD.DAT
But that is up to you!
IMPORTANT:
>> Any version of FREEWORLD will look for FWORLD.DEF in the LORD dir. <<
>> FREEWORLD defaults to read FWORLD.DEF in the LORD directory <<
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
COMM PORTS and FOSSILS:
The internal comm routines will work fine for COMM 1-4 STANDARD IRQ.
If you run LORD with a FOSSIL then the info will be passed to FREEWORLD
and FREEWORLD should run under the FOSSIL DRIVER.... OTHERWISE, if no
FOSSIL is being used to run LORD then FREEWORLD will only access
standard COMM PORTS and IRQ's......
NEWUSERS:
Make a subdirectory off your LORD directory. You can name the subdirectory
anything but I recommend FWORLD... Unzip FWORLD into this directory....
Run the INSTALL (FWINSTxx.EXE) program that was in this ZIP...
When the install program asks for PATH to LORD DIRECTORY, type in the FULL
PATH to the LORD directory and INCLUDE the \ at the end.... Thats a must for
the INSTALL to work..
Same thing for the FWORLD path......
ANSI and RIP screens can be used by FWORLD... Make a subdirectory off your
FWORLD directory and place the ANS and RIP screens there.... OR keep them any
where you want... Just make sure when using the INSTALL you complete the
PATH for screens OPTION... Don't forget the \ at the end....
The install program will check for PATH's and will tell you if the path
selected exists.....
RIP users will get a few RIPPED SCREENS.......
More to come later if this feature is liked!

You can modify the ANS and RIP screens to your liking.... Is up to you!
An ERROR LOG will be written to and the module will continue on its merry way
if any screen is not found.....OR any other item that errors out.....
If a players carrier is lost while in FWORLD the INFO.x file
will still exist in the LORD directory.. You can manually delete this
file.
LORD may still show this player as ONLINE and in FREEWORLD IGM.
Turn PLAYERS ON to PLAYERS OFF in LORDCFG.
It doesn't happen verify often, but it can!
LORD will reset the player after midnight and not show the player as in the
FWORLD IGM....
It will not effect the normal play of LORD but some players may do this so
they can not be attacked by anyone...
HEY SETH HAVE A CURE FOR THIS?

Upon NORMAL exist from the IGM the MAIL#.DAT is wrote to.
# being the LORD ACCOUNT of the user who entered the IGM.
MAIL#.DAT will be wrote in the LORD directory....
{I have an editor that will edit the FWORLD.DAT but see no reason to
include it as the only thing used from it right now is the date and name
of the FREEWORLD player...}
MAIL##DAT contains some things that will cause LORD to modify
a users profile
Such as:
EXPERIENCE POINTS
BANK GOLD
GOLD ON HAND
HUMAN FIGHTS
FOREST FIGHTS
STRENGTH
SKILL
KIDS
LAYS
HITPOINTS
etc....
LORD WILL NOT LET A USERS PROFILE GO ABOVE A SPECIFIC NUMBER.....
According to the author of LORD (MR. Robinson)
Future version will let u modify how much a users profile is modified
and changed as far as experiemce, gold, etc,,,, via the FWORLD.DEF
Right now they are HARDCODED into the EXE....
A SysOp feature is shown only if the LORD PLAYERS NAME MATCHES the name in
the FWORLD.DEF.... It is not seen or can not be used by anyone other
than the SysOp...
Its used for checking different screens and parameters.....
This IGM does not read or write to any LORD files except the following:
MAIL#.DAT and INFO.#
Standard LORD IGM stuff.......
Therefore your LORD game should be safe from corruption........
Some setup hints follow:
Heres what to......
Make a directory off your LORD directory called FWORLD
UNZIP this ZIP file into the FWORLD directory...
Run the install program and set it up for your bbs....
The INSTALL program will copy FWORLD.DEF into your LORD directory.
FWORLD.DEF must be in your LORD directory. The FWORLD.DEF is read
from the LORD directory ONLY! ^^^^^^^^^^
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
An example of FWORLD.DEF is included in this zip....
Your 3RDPARTY.DAT will then be appended for the FWORLD IGM module

When installing FREEWORLD your 3RDPARTY.DAT will be modified to
look for FWORLD.EXE not FWORLDxx.EXE On any new versions of
FREEWORLD just copy the latest version to FWORLD.EXE
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
You can also manually install FREEWORLD by editing the FWORLD.DEF for
your bbs and putting it in the LORD directory. Then manually edit your
3RDPARTY.DAT in LORDS to show where FWORLD is...... Read the LORD doc's
on editing the 3RDPARTY.DAT for IGM Modules....
Any test editor can be used.
If you have problems turn on the DEBUG mode in the FWORLD.DEF
file. It will show alot of things to tell you what is going on.
But, it will slow access to the game down some...
Log writing can be turned on or off also..... Each NODE will have its
own log if you run multinode.. If it any NODEx.LOG gets to long just
delete it..
FWORLD.DAT will be created when a user first enters the IGM. No need
to worry about making it..... It contains some things FWORLD checks
to see if a user has played today or before today... FWORLD.DAT will
be created in the FWORLD directory when the first user enters the IGM.

from any one out there........
I need input from SysOp's running LORD under a FOSSIL
and NON STANDARD IRQ's
Any errors should be logged either in the FWORLD directory or the
LORD directory depending upon where they occur....
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DISTRIBUTE THIS ZIP FILE ONLY IN ITS
ORIGINAL UNMODIFIED FORM............NO FEE IS REQUIRED OR SOUGHT TO
USE OF THIS IGM MODULE.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
SYSOP MENU:
A sysop menu will come up at the main menu IF the name in FWORLD.DEF
configuration file matches the players name.... This is for private
sysop testing and will not be seen or allowed in if there is no match.
This is for testing ANSI and RIP screens... (see NEWWORLD.DEF)
Ana a few other things.
Make sure a SCREEN1.ANS and SCREEN1.RIP is in the directory you define
in FWORLD.DEF for the screens....
SCREEN1.RIP will only be viewed from remote logon
You'll get a bunch of jibberish locally
Remote will get RIP =:)
Must be a RIP logon from REMOTE
SCREEN1.ANS will be viewed locally and remote
ANSI viewed both locally and remote with ANSI log on....
INTRO1.RIP/INTRO1.ANS
These screens are shown at entrance to the IGM module
If they exist they will be shown if not then an error is
logged and the IGM will continue on ite merry way......
ALL are included in this ZIP file....... Make sure you put them in the
directory you define in FWORLD.DEF
Make your own RIP/ANSI screens if u like.
Just be sure to name them right...
Neither are required but can be interesting.... An error should be
logged if they don't exist and the IGM will continue on its merry way...
ALSO... make sure a trailing backslash is at the end of all directory file
locations in NEWWORLD.DEF....... You will error out otherwise...
IE:
C:\DOORS\LORD\
^
notice the \
NO FILE NAME JUST PATH with a \
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
OTHERINFO:
This IGM Module is NOT compatable with any IGM EXPANSION PROGRAM....
Such as IGME100.ZIP as of this date..... The info.## are slightly different
than the standard INFO.## from Other Places in LORD.... This IGM Module
conforms to the standard format recommended by the LORD AUTHOR..
Thats SETH ABLE ROBINSON and ROBINSON TECH..........
I may put a gambling(CASINO) feature in later versions.
