Paradise VGA1024 Card User Notes - Version 1.1 - page 5
Microsoft Mouse and IBM PS/2 Mouse Users (continued)
****************************************************
The procedure for switching from VGA to CGA, MDA or Hercules modes when
the mouse driver is installed is as follows.
1. Execute the VGA1024.EXE utility
2. Select the desired option (Set CGA, Hercules or MDA)
3. Choose "Reboot System in Current Mode"
The system will then reboot, and you should reload any drivers or TSR
utilities you wish to run.
4. Return to VGA modes, run the VGA1024.EXE utility and select a VGA option.
Notes:
* The "Reboot System in Current Mode" option is equivalent to executing the
VGA1024.EXE utility's "Lock Current Mode" option then executing a reboot
(Ctrl-Alt-Del). Subsequent reboots will cause the board to come up in the
selected mode (Hercules, MDA or CGA). Using the VGA1024.EXE utility to
select any other mode will cause subsequent reboots to come up in the
default VGA mode.
* The option to "Reboot System in Current Mode" can be executed from the DOS
command line or through a DOS batch file by using the special parameter
"REBOOT." As an example, to switch from VGA to CGA mode when the mouse
driver has been loaded execute the following command from DOS.
VGA1024 CGA REBOOT
