  3. This file contains information that became available after the manual was
  4. printed.  Please review it carefully.

  8. A conversion program has been added that will help with the conversion
  9. of your custom match files from v3 format to the new v4 format.  Because
  10. of the additional capabilities of wcPRO v4 it is not possible to convert
  11. all files totally.  The program PROCONV.EXE has been installed in your
  12. Wildcat! home directory.

  15. PROCONV will convert the Users/Match, Users/List, Files/Match,
  16. Messages/Match, Statistics, and the statistics history files including
  17. the uploader/downloader tracking database.
  18.  
  19. The syntax is:

  22.         PROCONV [WC3 home path]
  23.  
  24.         i.e.
  25.  
  26.         PROCONV C:\WC30
  27.  
  28.  
  29. PROCONV will convert the files from within the C:\WC30 directory to the
  30. current directory.  Keep in mind PROCONV should be run from your
  31. Wildcat! 4 home directory, and NOT in the 3.X directory.

  34. There is also a conversion program for the wcFAX program for those that
  35. used Wildcat! v3.x.
  36.  
  37. FAXCONV converts some of the wcFAX 3.X system to the 4.X wcFAX files. It
  38. will convert your FAX list and your main configuration files.  Due to the
  39. nature of the configuration differences between v4 and v3, FAXCONV will
  40. not convert the WCFAX.LST (valid phone numbers list) or the WCFAX.BAD
  41. (invalid phone numbers list).  These must be created from within the
  42. MAKEFAX program that comes with the new wcFAX.

  46.         FAXCONV [WC3 home path]

  50.         FAXCONV C:\WC30
