- "SysOp, in a fit of maniac depression, chops off his own head after
- hearing the same bloody Maximus tune..." (apologies to Conner McCleod).
-
- Never again will this happen to you! Now, with the Random Tune Selector
- for Max 2.00, your yell tunes will be picked randomly at each user
- logon, so you won't have to listen to the same BORING tune over and over
- and over....
-
-
- It's simple to set up and transparent to use. In your Maximus batch
- file, before it loads Maximus, put the line
-
- RANDTUNE <events_bbs> <tunes_bbs>
-
- Substitute the name of your events file (usually EVENTS00.BBS for single
- node systems, and EVENTSxx.BBS (where xx is the two-hex-digit node
- number) and tunes_bbs is the name of your Maximus tunes file (usually
- TUNES.BBS). For example,
-
- RANDTUNE EVENTS00.BBS TUNES.BBS
-
- will work on most single-node systems.
-
- That pretty much sums it up. If it doesn't work, send me some netmail
- and I'll try and figure it out.
-
- NOTE #1: the source code is included so that Chris Epler can put out an
- OS/2 version for everyone!
-
- Have fun!
