- * What it Does *
-
- Quite simply, RA2GIGO will read your RemoteAccess v2.x user list,
- and create a users .cfg file for GIGO. This allows automatic bouncing
- of any incoming Internet email, that was improperly addressed, or to a user
- that does not exist on your BBS. No need to manually bounce all the unknown
- messages, or to manually update your users .cfg file! This program
- can run in your midnight events, or after each new user logs off of
- the system.
-
- * How to Use it *
-
- Included in this archive is a sample RA2GIGO.CTL file. You may use this
- as your model, or create a new one from scratch. Since there are only
- 4 needed statements, it's not big! Examples are given below.
- File sharing is used so RA2GIGO may be run while users are online.
-
- FIDO 1:2235/10
-
- This statement is optional. If the statement is not available, it will
- read your main net address from the RA configuration.
- This should point to your main node address. This is a requirement of
- GIGO.
-
- OUTFILE D:\GIGO\UTIUSER.CFG
-
- This is the output file that RA2GIGO will create. For ease of use, it
- should be written to your GIGO directory, where the rest of your .cfg
- files are located. Also, you MUST comment out the KEEPUNKNOWN or
- KEEPUNKNOWNUSERS from your USERS.CFG file, and INCLUDE the output file
- RA2GIGO creates in your gateway.cfg file. Or else GIGO will never make
- use of the output file.
- This file is over written each time RA2GIGO is run.
-
- SEC ALL
-
- This statement can contain one of two choices. ALL, or a Numerical value.
- RA2GIGO allows up to 100 different security levels. This is for those
- systems who restrict access to the gateway, or require a subscription.
- Any users who have the same security as defined will have their name
- added to the OUTFILE.
-
- SHORT
-
- The default user name translation is first.last. (ie, bill.wolf). For
- those gateways who prefer the alternative flast. (ie, bwolf) Including
- this option in the control file, will use the flast naming translation.
- Uncomment this line if you want SHORT style names (ie, bwolf) or leave it
- commented out if you want full names used (ie, bill.wolf).
-
- * That's It! *
-
-
- There really isn't much more to RA2GIGO than the above. If you have
- any suggestions, questions or problems, please direct them to Bob -
- as he's the one who wrote the utility. I just came up with the idea. :-)
-
- You can always get the current version by:
-
- FREQing RA2GIGO @ 1:2235/10 or 1:102/1313 or 1:102/1331
-
- sending internet email to fileserv@uti.com
- in the body of the message, GET RA2GIGO.
-
- My gateway will then email the uuencoded program back to you.
