-
- Purpose
- -------
- QuesView was created for Wildcat sysops to assist in the management of their
- questionnaire files. For years sysops have had a powerful set of tools to
- create questionnaires but until now a tool has never been written to assist
- in reviewing the responses to the questionnaires.
-
-
- QuesView Features Overview
- --------------------------
- * View any range of dates up to 999 days at once!
- * View all of the node's answer files at once!
- * While viewing, the questions can be overlayed on top of the answers!
- * Search for any text across all questionnaires, across all nodes!
- * Jump to any date almost instantly...even with huge answer files!
- * Display the answer to any question with all of the user names!
- * Call MakeQues, WCPro, and MakeWild from QuesView! (registered only)
- * During external program calls, QuesView is swapped to XMS/EMS/Disk.
- * QuesView remembers all settings after running!
- * Text file prompts are fully supported!
- * QuesView is completely DV and Network aware!
- * QuesView does not write to any Wildcat files. The only writes that
- are done are to the QUESVIEW.CFG file. Totally safe to try!
- * .....much more!

- Instructions
- ------------
- For a quick look at what QuesView has to offer, copy QUESVIEW.EXE to any
- directory (preferably the WC30 directory) and type QuesView. QuesView will
- prompt for the directory that contains the questionnaire files. Enter the
- directory (usually C:\WC30\QUES) and press enter. QuesView will use the
- current calendar date and search for all questionnaire activity for that
- given day. A menu will be display of all questionnaires along with the number
- of times that the questionnaire was completed during the day. To go back a
- day, hit F7. To go forward, hit F8. To jump to a new date, hit F6. If you
- want to view more than one day at a time, press ALT-R (range). A window will
- popup prompting for the number of days to display. Place the highlight bar on
- a questionnaire with some activity and press enter. A screen will be
- displayed showing each users that answered the questionnaire along with where
- they are from and the date and time that the questionnaire was completed. If
- you wish to see the detail of a particular user's responses, place the
- highlight bar on the user and press enter. The detail of the answers will be
- displayed. To overlay the questions on top of the answers for reference,
- press ALT-Q. To go back to the summary screen, press escape. If there is a
- particular question number that you would like displayed on the summary
- screen, press ALT-A. A window will popup prompting for the question number.
- Enter the number and QuesView will display the summary screen with each
- user's response to the question along side their name. QuesView will remember
- what question to display until it is changed.
