- PowerBBS for Windows is a multi-user BBS that operates as a background
- application in Windows. With PowerBBS you can run a BBS and still use your
- computer for other tasks. File transfers are handled internally. You will
- hardly notice it's there!

- We're very excited about this new version of PowerBBS. The following is a
- list of the new features included in version 3.5. There were many minor
- enhancements that were not included in this list, but if you look around,
- you'll be sure to notice them!

- Telnet
- *PowerBBS 3.5 will support Telent connections!
- *Connect your BBS to any other BBS on the Internet
- *Other BBSs on the Internet can Telenet into your BBS!

- SDK
- *New Software Developer Kit will allow programmers to compile C and Pascal
- DLLs that can be run directly from within PowerBBS via a menu or a
- PowerLang program!
- *Keep an eye out for PowerBBS specific doors and add-ons in the near future
- *PowerBBS source code will no longer be distributed

- Local Screen
- *The local screen for PowerBBS has been redone with graphics
- (caller's screen is still displayed in ANSI)
- *Several buttons and toolbar have been added for easier sysop access.
- *Graphical quick on-line of upgrade of caller
- *Graphical Node Status display
- *Start Config, PowerEdit or File List Manager from local screen
- *Better local display of colors and low ascii characters
- *Quick sysop log-in...just give password and be right at the Main menu
- *Graphical file transfer screen

- *New File List Manager with 3.5 is written in Pascal to be faster, more
- stable and more easily integrated with PowerBBS
- *Direct tech support on our BBS for the new file manager.
- *New file manager very easy to use. Sort file lists by date or by name
- *New file manager imports DIZ and SDI from ZIPs
- Note: The old File List Manager, which was written and supported by Gerrall
- Reeves, will no longer be distributed. Many thanks to Gerral Reeves for
- letting us use his file manager all these years. Please contact Gerral for
- more information about his File List Manager.
- *New file marking routine for callers: Now uses letters
- *Marking routine now checks to see if file exists at time of marking
- *Easier to edit marked files
