- Registered User Keefile upgrading:
-
- Due to extensive coding changes, a new keyfile format has become
- necessary. Beginning with Nodelist Updater v2.20, registered users
- will need a new keefile (note the spelling). Previously issued
- keyfiles will not work with NU v2.20; you must obtain a new keefile.
-
- Below is a table which can be used to find the correct RegSite for
- exchanging/upgrading your old keyfile to the required new keefile
- format. As usual, the upgrade is FREE since NodeList Updater's policy
- is "register once, own it forever".
-
- -------------+------------------------------------
- Serial #'s | Main RegSite To Contact

- 1000-1999 | Jim Smoot (see USA.REG)

- ** Important Information and Instructions **
-
- ** The RegSites will need your OLD keyfile as a file-attach to a NETMAIL
- message requesting your new keefile.
-
- ** The new keefile will normally be placed on Hold for you within 24 hours
- after your old keyfile has been received.
-
- ** Many of the new keefiles have already been created, and your's may
- already be on Hold. If your keefile is on Hold, you will automatically
- receive it when you drop your old keyfile. So watch your inbound directory!
-
- NOTE: All registration sites can upgrade your old keyfile, but some locations
- MAY require up to 7 days (see exception below) before your new keefile will
- be on Hold. This delay is due to all new keefiles must come from one of the
- three main RegSites listed above.
-
- An exception to the 7-day delay mentioned above exist in the United States,
- Canada, and South America, where 1-day turnaround service is available.
- Registered users of Nodelist Updater living in these countries should contact
- their nearest Regional RegSite for assistance. See the USA.REG file to
- determine the Regional RegSite nearest you.

- Sincerely,
- Roland van der Put
