- ShareWare ?
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
- before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
- using it, you are expected to register. Individual programs
- differ on details -- some request registration while others
- require it, some specify a maximum trial period. With
- registration, you get anything from the simple right to continue
- using the software to an updated program with printed manual.
-
- Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial software,
- and the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific
- exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished
- programmers, just like commercial authors, and the programs are
- of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are good programs
- and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
- distribution. The author specifically grants the right to copy
- and distribute he software, either to all and sundry or to a
- specific group. For example, some authors require written
- permission before a commercial disk vendor may copy their
- Shareware.
-
- Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You
- should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,
- whether it's commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes
- fitting your needs easier, because you can try before you buy.
- And because the overhead is low, prices are low also. Shareware
- has the ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the
- product, you don't pay for it.
-
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
- Standard Disclaimer!
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- Users of NEXT must accept this disclaimer of warranty: "NEXT
- is supplied as is. The author disclaims all warranties, expressed
- or implied, including, without limitation, the warranties of
- merchantability and of fitness for any purpose. The author
- assumes no liability for damages, direct or consequential, which
- may result from the use of NEXT."
- NEXT is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge to the
- user for evaluation. Feel free to share it with your friends, but
- please do not give it away altered or as part of another system.
- The essence of "user-supported" software is to provide personal
- computer users with quality software without high prices, and yet
- to provide incentive for programmers to continue to develop new
- products.
-
- If you find this program useful and find that you are using NEXT
- and continue to use NEXT after a reasonable trial period (such as
- 30 days ), you must make a registration payment of FL20.00 To
- Maarten Bekers. The FL20.00 registration fee will license ALL
- versions of NEXT (if any) for use at any one time.
- Commercial users of NEXT must register and pay for their copies of
- NEXT within 30 days of first use or their license is withdrawn.
- You are encouraged to pass a copy of NEXT along to your friends
- for evaluation. Please encourage them to register their copy if
- they find that they can use it.

- Installing.....
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- This door is written for RemoteAcces 2.0x and tested
- too for RemoteAcces 2.0. It is very easy to install..
-
- Call next with the "Execute Sub-Program." (Type 7)
- At the optional data you can enter this :
-
- C:\RA\DOORS\NEXT\NEXT.EXE C:\PROTOCOL\DSZ\DSZ.COM
-
- The first parameter is the complete path and filenema of where
- NEXT can find DSZ , this is used for downloading the file
- NEXTUSER.A??. If this file isn't there NEXT gives an
- error msg..
-
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
- Creating a NEXT.ANS
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- If you want to make a own ANSI, you must take your
- normal ANSI/ASCII editor (Like TheDraw), and load in the
- NEXT.ANS, Now you can normally edit this ANSI, but you
- must keep in mind that your ANSI can't be the whole
- screen (because of the three NEXT-Lines).
- The saving is the most hard part ;-)
- You must tell your editor NOT to send a screen clearing
- code, else it will become a total mess, (Too quick
- changing screens etc), ..
- Test it out (If you have the ansi-driver loaded) by,
- typing in the DOS-Prompt "TYPE NEXT.ANS", if you just
- get a screen, without clearing the screen it is OK, else
- you must restart the editor and do it again ...
-
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
- Message To Next User.....
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- The message to next user is completely cursor key aware and I
- put some basic editor functions in it.
- The user can choose their own colours here is a list:
-
- Textcolour : background Colour :
-
- 1. Cyan 1. Black
- 2. Blue 2. Blue
- 3. Green 3. Green
- 4. Red 4. Red
- 5. Lightgray 5. Magenta
- 6. Lightblue 6. Brown
- 7. Lightred 7. Lightgray
- 8. Yellow
- 9. White
-
- After the user entered a message to next text, he.she will be
- asked to save the msg, after that NEXT writes 2 files in the
- TXT-Files dir that is supplied in the raconfig, the files are
- NEXTUSER.ANS and NEXTUSER.ASC.
- These files are automaticly supplied with a Press Enter prompt, so
- you can use a Type 5 menu for NEXTUSER.ANS. You can also Download the
- NEXTUSER.ANS, for this the DSZ Z-Modem protocol is used (or any DSZ
- compatible protocol). Of course swapping is used automaticly here.

- Who Is Online & Send Message
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- Who Is Online is a function for users to see of another node's are
- alive, if you don't have a multi-line BBS system, just
- leave the choice out of your ANSI-File!
- Send a message is a function to send a little message to
- the other node!
-
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
- Message To SysOps-Printer...
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- There is also an option in NEXT to write a Message to the sysops Printer.
- You can enter up to 10 lines of text. If the printer is out of paper or
- doesn't like you or something, the msg will be written to your ra.log
- Here is also an option to save the message.
-
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
- Message To SysOp....
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- The message to sysop is written to the first area in your msg-base.
- The name in Raconfig is used as the name of the sysop. (fe Maarten Bekers)
- The user will be asked to use the internal or the external message
- editor. The internal one looks like the internal editor of RA and
- the external is the one you specify in RACONFIG. Is this field empty
- than the internal editor will be used. If the external editor is used
- then NEXT will swap.
-
- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

- ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
