  1. If your station is in an area used frequently by other family members, be
  2. sure they know what they should not touch.  You should have some means of
  3. ensuring that no unauthorized person can use your equipment.  One of the
  4. best ways to do this is to install a key operated on off switch in the power
  5. line to the equipment.  When the switch is turned off and you have the key
  6. in your pocket, you will be sure that no one can misuse your station.
  7. Since you will eventually want to do some operating late at night to snag the
  8. rare ones on 80 and 40 meters, remember that although Morse code is music to
  9. your ears, it may not endear you to a sleeping family.  Putting your station
  10. in a bedroom shared with your spouse or with brothers or sisters may not be
  11. the best idea.  You can keep the music to yourself, however, by using a good
  12. pair of headphones when operating your station. +
