- Motor City Callback Verifier Version 3.0
-
-
- New Features
- ============
-
- - You may now specify a user OTHER than the Sysop to receive
- messages which CBV normally posts to the sysop. On a busy
- system, the sysop ends up with so many messages, that I
- thought this was a good idea. This can be an assistant
- sysop, or any name, it is not checked for validity.
-
- - Now support Caller-ID. If you have Caller ID enabled, and
- the number reported by Caller ID matches the number the
- user has entered to be called back at, then CBV no longer
- calls the user back. If the numbers do not match, then it
- does attempt to call them back. If they are using the Call
- Return feature then this is ignored and CBV will call them
- back. You may define CallerID init strings for each node
- in the INITnn.MDM file. The string will be the second line
- in that file. (eg AT*T) If you use this method, leave the
- field blank in CBVSetup.
-
- - Posts messages to JAM bases
-
- - Bad Phone #'s now allow wildcards... ? is a match with ANY
- number...
- 1-???-555-1212 will never match any long distance
- directory assistance.
- 911??????????? will not dial ANY number starting
- with 911
- 1-???-976-???? will never call ANY 976 number....
-
- - Added support for up to 255 Comm Ports using DGFossil
-

-
- Changes
- =======
-
- - Unregistered versions now allow adding unknown numbers to
- the local phone number control file.
-
- - When using the *N in the log filename it now trims off any
- leading 0's so now 1 is 1 instead of 001 This was changed
- to accomodate those who use the *N as part of the path to
- a directory.
-
- - The CBV Log file will show WHY it cannot post a message if
- it cannot rather than just showing an error number.
-
- - Now using overlay files
-
- - Bug in Manual ^F3 is supposed to show Expiry date and ^F6
- shows handles in message templates. This was reversed in
- the manual.
-
-
-
-
- Fixes
- =====
-
- - Space bar during 'waiting to redial' should work now to
- force an immediate redial.
-
- - If you changed directory while shelled to dos, and did not
- return to the original directory, it would crap out because
- it could not find exitinfo.bbs - fixed.
-
- - If your .RA files were READ-ONLY, then CBVSetup could not
- read them. - fixed
-
- - If the user had entered only one phone number, and the sysop
- did not allow entering a different number for the callback,
- then the [Q]uit prompt was put on the screen, but the user
- could not choose it. The [Q]uit prompt has been removed if
- this is the case.
-
- - CBV was not reading the password from a SuperBBS Exitinfo.
-
- - fixed error 103 during dupe scan
-
- - Fixed a bug in the MC_CBV.BAD phone number detection. If
- there was a blank line in that file, ALL numbers would be
- flagged as bad.
